How using data efficiently creates a connected workforce

For a joined-up collaborative approach to managing business operations; having clear information for all is an obvious requirement.

It’s become even more important with restrictions on movements to maintain the capabilities of globally distributed assets, including people, to ensure their impact on value generation.

Gemba have been continuing to support manufacturers and leading OEM businesses with clear information on their connected operations to deliver quality optimised equipment and services safely.

Empowering workforces to prioritise resources

Our current ongoing projects are providing additional insight and analysis across several operational units in different countries, helping to prioritise their resources. These remote support services provided by Gemba are enabling the real-time and historical reporting of the connected operations to be shared across the stakeholder group, ensuring the collaborations are maintaining focus on priorities and their contribution to value.

Making the relevant data available to the key influencers, including the OEM’s, with context and depth, has brought a greater level of cooperation and trust, forging new relationships between the workforce, management and OEM’s.

Experiencing rapid gains

With Gemba’s unambiguous and consistent data, the connected workforce (with supportive management structures) has delivered rapid gains in efficiency and transparency to these operations.

Expanding the data collaboration outside of just the connected workforce, out to supporting services in this example, has helped both the operations to improve and the OEM to better understand their equipment’s condition and service performance in real-time.
