The problem

Rockline Industries did not understand the reasons behind their machine downtime and were stuck as to how to improve uptime.

The solution

By adding the CMMS module and the automated alerts feature to their Gemba software, Rockline Industries could section their downtime into waiting, responding, repairing and start-up. From this, it was determined the majority of lost machine time was from “Responding”.

The results

Relocation of engineering resources to be nearer to the machines, removed the lost responding time. This resulted in an instant and significant reduction in machine downtime and improved machine output.
