The problem

Siemens provides technical product support and overhauls globally for a fleet of gas turbines. However, their lead-times were in excess of targets.

The solution

We provided Siemens with our gemba connect software, adding the Work-in-Progress tracking module. This was installed across the manual work stations, automating machines to identify bottlenecks in the build process.

The results

We eliminated delays and improved the flow of information between stations, using the automated email escalations feature within connect. This meant Siemens reduced their lead times to target.
